On a recent visit to see my family, I had a chance to stop by and meet baby Zoe for the first time. I couldn’t believe she was already 8 weeks old. Mom has been my little sister’s best friend since childhood, so that naturally makes her like a little sister to me. A week prior to delivery she fell and broke her ankle. She was scheduled for a C-section and then ankle surgery. Recovery meant a wheel chair, no lifting, no driving and after a few complications she is still on crutches. I can’t imagine what life with a newborn and a 2 year old in those circumstances is like. Despite the bad hands that have been dealt to her lately, its good to see her happy and smiling with her with two beautiful little girls.
